How Mzansi Price Check works — spend less. know more.
Take a photo of the shelf label, the packaging or your receipt and we try to read the product name, size, barcode and price for you. We never submit what we read — every detail is shown for you to check and edit first. If the photo can't be read, just type the details in yourself.
Tap the correct price from the list of prices we found, or type the right one into the price field. Shelf labels often show a loyalty price, a unit price (per kg or per litre) and a normal price at the same time — always choose what a shopper actually pays today.
Tap Scan Barcode on the home screen and point your camera at a product barcode. We find the product, then you can compare prices near you or add the price you're seeing. If the camera can't read it, you can type the barcode in instead.

Mzansi Price Check uses community-reported prices, retailer updates and community verification. Prices are not official store prices.
It means a recent price has been confirmed by more than one community member or by trusted sources.
The price was submitted by an approved retailer for a store they manage. Community members can still report a different price they saw in the shop.
Tap the camera button, take a photo of the shelf price, pick the product and shop, enter the price and submit.
